MARKET REPORTS & ANALYSIS
  • Rate Lock Advisory. While the overall rate direction remains up it appears we are at the bottom a intermediate move in the upward trading channel
  • Friday Rate Market. A mixed bag of news this AM. Most reported data is very close to market expectations, but Retail Sales ex-Autos showed gains but at a slower pace than expected. A slight positive for pricing but by no means enough to get us out of this channel.
  • Thursday's Mortgage Rate Results: Mortgage rates based on Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) closed Up 0.03 point.
  • 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 4.12 percent with an average 0.5 point for the week ending January 12, 2017, down from last week when it averaged 4.20 percent. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.92 percent.

Cyber criminals are hacking email accounts and sending emails with fake wiring instructions. These emails are convincing and sophisticated. Always independently confirm wiring instructions in person or via a telephone call to a trusted and verified phone number. Never wire money without double-checking that the wiring instructions are correct.
